Our goal was simple - To maintain the mission critical words displayed above.
We were approached by Drain Clothing to build a simple yet elegant product gallery, which would be interlinked with both their existing products, as well as their online e-commerce solution. Drain Clothing wanted a gallery which would be out of the ordinary, yet simple enough for any user to navigate.
The widget needed to be compact as it was to fit in a pre-defined space. We did not build the site, however, we did stick to the colour scheme and the overall display of the website to facilitate a smooth transition between the existing site, and the product gallery.
That was our first step - "Smooth Transition"
With that in mind, we thought to ourselves, if the widget should blend into the site, then the products should blend into the widget.
We did exactly that. We designed every aspect of the widget to be scroll-able without the use of any scrollbars. This was a hit. We also implemented the pan-able zoom view, which gives the user a closer look at the intricate design. To top it all off, we enabled the preview aspect, which gives the user the view of the design in context with a T-shirt.
The ease of use as well as the visual display has managed to make the widget more than just an informative gadget. It's also a toy.
